Easy Brown Beef Stew
A great warming recipe for when it’s still pretty cold outside, you can whip it up early in the morning, and allow it to slowly bubble away all day, and enjoy it with family and friends after all of the festivities and celebrations are done

Caramelised Onion with Black Garlic Relish

500g Round steak cubed about 3cm cubes.1 Onion chopped1 Carrot chopped1 Stick of Celery20g Flour spread on a small plate or bowl, well seasoned with salt and pepper.15g Tomato Puree.Sprig of Thyme, Rosemary, Bayleaf.120g Folláin Caramelised Onion RelishDash Olive Oil500ml Beef or Chicken Stock or water

- Heat heavy based pan to medium high and add Olive Oil
- Coat meat in seasoned flour
- Brown meat on all sides. Give the cubed meat room to fry on the pan, cooking in two batches if necessary.
- Add Onion and herbs to pan with meat and fry for a few minutes, stirring.
- Add tomato puree, cook one minute stirring.
- Add Follain Caramelised onion relish, carrots and stock, add celery stick (remove after 20 minutes), bring to the boil
- Turn down heat and simmer slowly for 45 to 60 minutes stirring now and again to make sure it does not stick.
